Our Studio & Instructors
Welcome to Galt Ocean Pilates, a luxury, modern boutique fitness studio offering private & semi-private customized Pilates sessions at the Dfit Training Studio, Fort Lauderdale. How are we different than other Pilates studios? Our mission focuses on designing a tailor-made program to reach each client’s objective goals starting from the first session with before pictures, milestone pictures and after pictures as we go through each desired goal that a client wants to focus on. Our instructors work as a team with every client so that program goals are made, revised as needed with appropriate modifications, and progress is celebrated together. This comprehensive approach is used in place of a random list of exercises for a fully inclusive program. In order to accomplish this we use a few different situations using the emblematic apparatus - the Reformer. The Reformer is the apparatus of choice because it follows the Pilates’ Principle of Control. As a time-maker the Principle of Control is one of the most challenging Principles in Pilates because it requires body image and a good sense of coordination which together allow for the correct movements at the correct times. The Reformer enhances clients’ awareness of the time-marker tool by use of the specific built in moving carriage. We invite clients to explore situations that involve them in their progress through every session rather than asking them to execute movements. Every session is taught in a serene, calm space with no distractions or bright lights allowing clients to experience calmness, focus, and body awareness. Clients who embark on a wellness journey through our studio develop a better understanding of their own connection to their mind and body. Pilates is for everyone and our instructors strive to make all clients feel accomplished and successful with their fitness journey. DIANE EPSTEIN
Diane found a passion and love for pilates 20 years ago after seeking to find a workout that would help improve her strength, balance, and range of motion in her back and neck. Having scolosis and neck issues, finding Pilates was something Diane found to be challenging, yet helpful, with improvements in functional movement. In 2019, her passion led to a career change for Diane as she embarked on a journey with the well known globally recognized Balanced Body Comprehensive Teacher Training Program. Diane’s certifications are comprehensive including Integrated Movement Specialist, Mat Pilates, Reformer Pilates, Trapeze Table, Cadillac, Tower, Springboard, Chair, Barre, MOTR, and Ladder Barrels, and Scolio-Pilates special populations.
Diane's motto is to balance life, self-care, mind, and functional movement through a variety of methods in order to achieve lifelong balance, control, and stability with aging.
NATHALIE GARRISON
Nathalie was born and raised in Grenoble, FRANCE. Naturally athletic she began her professional career as a physical education teacher. Because she liked traveling, she worked many years for an airline company.
She created her first studio in France in 2007. She worked with a University Professor to elaborate a pedagogical program for Pilates Career Instructor and decided to create a certification program in 2014 based on those works.
She taught Pilates in Oklahoma in 2013 working daily with a diversified clientele to share the benefit of the Pilates method. Nathalie moved to Florida in April, 2019. Nathalie is certified by the Pilates Institute of London. She learned with Michaël KING and Nuala COOMBS and attended conventions in Geneva with FITSPRO, fitness Leader in Switzerland.
